The Experience Explorer Program
The Throughlocals Experience Explorer Program is a premium, volunteer-led initiative for passionate adventurers who want to go beyond travelling—and actively shape the future of experiential travel in India.
As an Experience Explorer, you won’t just visit destinations. You’ll represent the traveler’s voice on the ground, helping us ensure every listed experience meets our expectations of quality, safety and authenticity.
What You’ll Do
Selected Experience Explorers will be invited to visit curated campsites, treks and local stays to:
- Experience offerings exactly as a traveler would
- Evaluate safety, hygiene and operational standards
- Assess cleanliness, amenities and infrastructure
- Observe host interaction and hospitality quality
- Share structured, honest and actionable feedback
Your insights will directly influence:
- Experience approvals & improvements
- Platform recommendations
- Long-term quality benchmarks at Throughlocals
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for individuals who:
- Are passionate about camping, trekking or outdoor travel
- Enjoy offbeat, nature-driven or slow travel experiences
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Can observe, document and communicate experiences clearly
- Believe travel should be immersive, respectful and high-quality
- Prior professional experience is an advantage
